Your weekly Amazon newsletter, written from your data.
The Weekly brief turns the last complete week, or month, into a newsletter-style edition: category trends, brand strength, actions, a sales snapshot and an ad recap. Every number is calculated from your data, you can edit any text, and you can export it as a PDF, an image, an email or an Excel file.
Built for brands selling on Amazon through Vendor Central or Seller Central. You export and send the edition yourself. Trivas does not send it on a schedule.
The weekly Amazon update is rebuilt by hand, every week.
Someone downloads reports from several places, pastes them into a spreadsheet, works out the comparisons and writes the summary. The next week, they do it again.
The same work, every Monday
Sales, search, advertising and inventory come from different downloads, so the weekly read starts from scratch each time.
One report, many formats
Leadership wants an email, the team wants Slack, finance wants a spreadsheet. Each means reformatting the same content.
Numbers nobody can trace
When a figure is typed in by hand, it is hard to say where it came from or whether the weeks lined up.
Inside the Weekly brief and the reporting workspace
The brief is the front page of Reporting and Analytics. Supporting reports sit beside it for when you need to go deeper.
Each tab describes one part of the workspace, with its parts numbered.
A header such as "This week in <Brand>" shows the period and comparison, followed by the sections of the edition in order.
The Weekly brief: a newsletter-style read of the week
A header such as "This week in <Brand>" shows the period and comparison, followed by the sections of the edition in order.
- 01
Headline and The bottom line
An editable headline and a short list of bottom-line bullets, followed by a strip of KPI cards with the change tagged YoY or vs prior.
- 02
Category trends
A table of product lines with Sales, Sales change, Search demand and Our share, plus a Read. A Table / SWOT toggle appears when search-demand data exists.
- 03
SWOT reads
Strengths are product lines outgrowing demand, Opportunities are riding demand, Weaknesses are losing share and Threats are where demand is fading.
- 04
Brand strength
A table by search type with Searches per week, Change, Share and Share change in points, with example search terms.
- 05
Actions
Numbered action cards. A pill shows "~$X / wk at stake" only where the loss is measured, such as a product that can't be bought. Otherwise it shows "Product sells ~$X / wk" for scale, which is not a loss.
- 06
Sales snapshot and Ad recap
Metric tiles with Biggest gains and Biggest declines, then Ad spend, Ad sales, ROAS, TACOS and New-to-brand with a table by ad type: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and DSP.
- 07
Inventory, Promotions and Call-outs
Editable bullets for inventory and call-outs, and free text for promotions. A section with no data says what is missing.
What the Weekly brief and reporting do
Numbers calculated from the data
Every figure in the edition is calculated directly from your data. The words around the numbers are written from those numbers.
Edit before you share
Change the headline, bottom line, inventory notes, promotions and call-outs. Exports include your edits.
Six ways to share it
Export as PDF, Image, Copy for email, Email HTML file, Numbers in Excel, or Print.
Dollars at stake only where measured
An action shows money at stake only when the loss is measured. Otherwise it shows what the product sells, for scale, and says it is not a loss.
Saved editions for the whole team
Editions are saved for the brand, so everyone sees the same weekly and monthly archive, with Draft and Shared status.
Complete weeks only
Weekly reports use complete Sunday to Saturday weeks. A comparison shows a dash when it would reach before your history or into a week with missing data, never a silent zero.
Every number says where it came from
Source notes state which weeks and data sources are used and what is missing, with a link to Data Trust.
Excel export on every report page
Each page in Reporting and Analytics exports to Excel, with one sheet per table.
Who uses it, and for what
Brand leader
Writes Monday's edition, reviews the bottom line and actions, then exports a PDF for the leadership team.
Amazon manager
Exports the edition as one tall image and pastes it into the team's Slack channel.
Agency account lead
Edits the headline and call-outs for a client, copies the edition for email and pastes it into Gmail with the layout intact.
Finance or operations
Downloads the Excel version for the headline numbers, category trends, sales snapshot, ad recap and actions.
Category manager
Opens Sales WBR, expands a category to find the subcategory behind a decline, and compares a hero SKU against others over 13 weeks.
What changes for your team
A draft that is already written
The weekly update starts from a finished edition built from your data, so the work is reviewing and editing rather than rebuilding.
An action list you can trust
Money at stake appears only where the loss is measured, which keeps the list credible when it reaches leadership.
One workspace for the follow-up
Sales, advertising, TACOS and the report library sit beside the brief, with consistent comparisons and the source of every number.
What it needs, and what it doesn't do
What it needs
- An Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central connection for sales data.
- Search Query Performance and advertising data for the search demand, brand strength and ad recap sections. Sections without data say what is missing.
- Reporting enabled for your brand, and page access for each person who needs the Weekly brief.
- A saved edition before you edit text.
What it doesn't do
- It does not send the brief on a schedule. You export it and send it yourself.
- There is no built-in Slack or email delivery. Mark as shared with the team only changes the edition status inside Trivas.
- The first edition of the day can take up to a minute to write.
- Some report pages depend on data a brand may not have, such as DSP reports or Business Report by product.
