See how you stack up against all of Amazon, search by search.
SQP Insights turns Amazon's Search Query Performance into real search volume and your share of impressions, clicks and purchases on each term. Group terms into product lines, see where ad spend actually buys share, and check the data is complete before you present it.
Built for Amazon brands with Search Query Performance data connected. The default range is the last 90 days, in whole weeks.
SQP data is rich, and hard to use by hand.
Search Query Performance shows what shoppers search for and how your brand does against everyone else. Most teams download it in pieces and rebuild pivot tables to answer simple questions.
Manual downloads and pivots
Weekly files have to be stitched together before a share trend can be read at all.
Gaps that fake a trend
Amazon lists a term only in the weeks your brand appeared, so missing weeks can make shares jump for no real reason.
No link from spend to share
It is hard to tell whether the terms you pay for are the ones where you are winning share.
Inside SQP Insights
Five tabs share one status row showing the date the data runs through, how much of your sales SQP covers and how many weeks are loaded.
Each tab describes one view, with its parts numbered.
Chart up to four terms at a time and read a table of your top terms with their shares and indexes.
Search terms: volume and share by term
Chart up to four terms at a time and read a table of your top terms with their shares and indexes.
- 01
Charted terms
Up to four terms, opening on the two with the most brand purchases. Switch between Weekly trend and Year over year.
- 02
Term panels
Volume as bars, with impression, click and purchase share as lines and ad spend as a dashed line, compared with the date picker's period.
- 03
More lines
Add up to three extra lines such as Cart add share, Brand and Amazon CTR, conversion, CTR index, Conversion index or Brand median price.
- 04
All search terms table
Search term, Type (Branded, Non-branded, Competitor or Not in taxonomy), Searches, Brand purch., Impr. share, Click share, Purch. share, CTR idx, Conv. idx, Ad spend and Ad clicks.
- 05
90-110% noise band
Indexes are colored only outside 90-110%: green above, red below. Inside that band the difference is treated as noise.
- 06
Partial weeks note
When a term appears in only some weeks, a footnote explains the missing weeks are left blank, not counted as zero.
What SQP Insights does
Share against all of Amazon
Impression, click and purchase share for every term, with CTR and conversion indexes against Amazon's own rates.
Noise kept out of the signal
Indexes are colored only outside the 90-110% band, and the landscape view filters out terms with too few clicks.
Groups for product lines
Saved groups are shared across the brand, and can come from your taxonomy or be built from pasted lists.
Weekly and year-over-year views
Compare a term or group against the same weeks last year.
Spend-versus-share quadrants
Four labelled quadrants point to terms to defend, fix, test with less spend or grow.
Price-versus-conversion map
See whether a term is held back by price, by the listing, or neither, for terms or ASINs.
Built-in data checks
A 99.5% sales coverage target, a roll-up check and a term coverage heatmap show how complete the numbers are.
Exports
Export the term table, which includes extra columns such as volume, total and brand impressions, clicks, purchases, cart abandonment index and price point index.
Who uses it, and for what
Amazon SEO manager
Checks whether purchase share on a core term rose or fell against last year before choosing where to improve the listing.
Advertising manager
Opens Spend vs share and finds terms in Paying, not winning, then reviews bids, price and the listing before adding budget.
Category manager
Builds a group for a product line and tracks its combined share as one line.
Agency strategist
Opens Data checks to show the client that SQP covers nearly all of their sales before presenting the numbers.
Brand manager
Uses the price-versus-conversion quadrants to decide between a price test, a coupon or a listing fix on a term.
What changes for your team
No more manual SQP pivots
Shares, indexes and groups are built for you, so analysis starts from the answer rather than the download.
Clearer spend and price decisions
Quadrants turn thousands of terms into a short list with a suggested next step.
Numbers you can defend
The coverage check shows how complete the data is, so you know when to trust a trend.
What it needs, and what it doesn't do
What it needs
- An Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central connection with Search Query Performance data.
- Reporting enabled for your brand, and page access to SQP Insights for your role.
- A search-term taxonomy uploaded in Data Trust if you want groups by product line or search term type, and the Type column to show Branded or Non-branded.
- Ad data connected if you want ad spend on the Spend vs share view.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't change anything on Amazon. It reads Search Query Performance and ad data and reports on it.
- Amazon lists a term only for the weeks your brand appeared in its results. Missing weeks are left blank, not counted as zero.
- Estimated dollars are a barometer, not true sales.
- Groups only use weeks where every term has data, so a group can cover fewer weeks than its individual terms.
- Ad spend comes from search term reports, so it is shown by search term and not by keyword.
