One weekly review for every retail media dollar.
The Advertising WBR puts Amazon, Walmart, Chewy and Instacart ads in a single report. It shows spend against the monthly budget, the mix of ad types and keyword types, how each retailer trended, and the five products whose sales fell hardest, always for the previous Sunday to Saturday week against the week before.
Enabled per brand. Export to PDF, Excel or CSV, or ask Wingman to explain any section.
Four retailers, four exports, one deadline.
Retail media teams and agencies usually build the weekly review by hand. They pull ad exports from each retailer, line them up in a spreadsheet and write the story before the client call.
Assembly eats the week
Each retailer reports spend, sales and campaigns in its own format, so the same numbers get rebuilt every Monday.
Budget drift goes unseen
Without spend set against the monthly budget in the same view, an overspending channel is easy to miss until the month is nearly over.
Sales drops hide in the detail
A product whose sales collapse sits inside a long product list, and nobody notices until someone asks why a channel is down.
Inside the Advertising WBR
The report has three sections, always in the same order, with the comparison period already set. Each section has its own Ask Wingman button.
Each tab describes one section of the report, with its parts numbered.
Four KPI cards, a spend chart by channel and a pacing table show how much each retailer spent and how that compares to its budget.
Budget Pacing: spend against the monthly budget
Four KPI cards, a spend chart by channel and a pacing table show how much each retailer spent and how that compares to its budget.
- 01
Period header
Shows the Period, the Previous Period, the source and when the report was generated. The period is always the previous Sunday to Saturday week.
- 02
Four KPI cards
Ad Spend, Ads Conversion, Ads Conversion Revenue and ROAS, each with its change against the previous period. Click a card to open a trend and table.
- 03
ROAS
Conversion revenue divided by ad spend, shown as a multiple. The daily trend rebuilds the ratio from each day's totals.
- 04
Spends Trend by Channel
One bar per retailer, sorted from highest spend to lowest.
- 05
Pacing Detail by Channel
Columns for Channel, Monthly Budget, Spend Actuals (current against previous) and % to Target, with a total row on top and a Channel filter.
- 06
% to Target
The week's spend as a share of the monthly budget for the month the week ends in. It reads as this week against the whole month's budget, not month to date.
What the Advertising WBR does
Four retailers, one view
Amazon Ads, Walmart Ads, Chewy Ads and Instacart Ads sit side by side with the same metrics and the same comparison period.
Spend against monthly budget
Each channel shows its monthly budget, the week's spend and % to Target, with a total row for the whole account.
Ad type and keyword type mix
See how spend and revenue split between Sponsored Brand and Sponsored Product, and between Branded, Non Branded and Category keywords.
Daily retailer trends
Daily spend and revenue lines for each retailer, plus spend, revenue and ROAS together by day.
Sales-drop watchlist
The five products with the sharpest week-over-week sales fall, ranked by drop rate.
Ask Wingman, section by section
Each section can write its own commentary. Once generated, it is kept in your browser for that week, so reopening the report shows it straight away.
PDF, Excel and CSV
Download a PDF for the client pack or Excel and CSV for the full tables. The Excel export includes a Budget Pacing summary sheet.
Print-ready layout
A print template shows all rows without pagination or height caps, built for clean PDF output.
Who uses it, and for what
Retail media manager
Opens the report on Monday, checks spend and ROAS against last week, then asks Wingman to explain the change before the weekly check-in.
Agency account lead
Downloads the PDF for the client review and the Excel file for the numbers behind it, from one report instead of four exports.
Finance or leadership
Reads % to Target by channel to spot a retailer that spent a large share of its monthly budget in a single week.
Ecommerce manager
Sees a hero product in the Top 5 sales drops and checks its stock, content and ad setup before the drop spreads.
What changes for your team
Less weekly assembly
Replaces stitching together separate retailer ad exports with one consistent report that is ready each week.
Pacing, mix and drops in one sitting
Budget, ad and keyword mix and product-level drops are read together, so the write-up covers all of them.
A faster first draft
Section-level commentary gives you a starting point for the client note, which you can edit before it goes out.
What it needs, and what it doesn't do
What it needs
- The Advertising WBR enabled per brand. It is not switched on for every account.
- Ads integrations connected for the retailers you advertise on: Amazon Ads, Walmart Ads, Chewy Ads and Instacart Ads.
- Monthly budgets set per channel, so the Pacing Detail table can calculate % to Target.
- Keyword type data for the Keyword Type section.
- Report access for your role, and download permission to export.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't change anything on Amazon, Walmart, Chewy or Instacart. It reads ad data and reports on it.
- The period is fixed to the previous Sunday to Saturday week against the week before. There is no date picker.
- % to Target is the week's spend against the whole month's budget, not month-to-date pacing, and there is no projected run rate.
- The two trend line charts cover the four named retailers. DSP trends appear only where that data is available.
- The Top 5 sales drops use ad-attributed product sales, and the table does not read eligibility data.
- Excel and CSV exports use the default columns of each table, and the PDF can truncate very large tables.
